EP!C, Empowering People, Inspiring Capabilities. EP!C is a non for profit dedicated to enriching the lives of adults with developmental disbilities in the Peoria area.

EP!C is currently seeking a Marketing Manager to contibute to and execute a comprehensive marketing and development program to enhance the EP!C vision, to plan and execute sucessful marketing strategies for EP!C's programs, services, fundraising, and development events, and to drive increased brand recognition in local markets.

GENERAL SCOPE OF DUTIES: 

To contribute to and execute a comprehensive marketing and development program to enhance the EP!C Mission and Vision.  To plan and execute successful marketing strategies for EP!C's programs, services, fundraising and development events.  Serve as a EP!C liaison to the community. Support and educate others on the philosophy of the agency's mission and vision and drive increased brand recognition in local markets.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

 

Marketing:

 

  1. Contribute to and execute a comprehensive marketing and branding plan.
  2. Lead the development of marketing materials, tools, and publications to support the marketing and branding plan.
  3. Collaborate with other Management Team members to identify, develop, and implement marketing opportunities and cascade results back to key leaders.
  4. Write, edit, and publish monthly and quarterly newsletters targeting friends, families, and donors.
  5. Continually update agency's website to be current, attractive, and in compliance with all state and federal regulations.
  6. Maintain Facebook, website, media, e-marketing and other communication venues.
  7. Support special events with logistics, communication, marketing, and press releases.
  8. Market EP!C's differentiated program services
  9. Establish and maintain relationships with external marketing partners (agencies, photographers, printers, etc.)
  10. Collaborate with the Director of Development to develop strategic goals and objectives for resource development for EP!C.

 

Public Relations:

 

  1. Maintain and assist in relationships with media, industry associates and community partners.
  2. Represent EP!C at community events.
  3. Execute and maintain a comprehensive public relations program, including building and maintaining media relationships and communicating with the media through news releases, advertising, and feature stories.
  4. Collaborate with the Director of Development and the EP!C Foundation to develop strategic goals and objectives for resource development for EP!C Foundation.
  5. Develop Contribute to annual budget projections ensure expenditures in Marketing, PR and community relations remain within budget restrictions.

 

Development:

 

  1. Provide marketing and logistic support to the Director of Development in their effort to secure sponsorship and underwriting for special events.
  2. Coordinate all promotional activities and marketing efforts related to special events.
  3. Provide marketing and promotional support for other fund development activities including appeals, campaigns, and donor stewardship and cultivation activities.
  4. Coordinate, with the Director of Development, the EP!C Annual Report. 

Other Responsibilities:  

Adhere to EP!C policy and procedures.

  1. Maintain a positive and respectful attitude.
  2. Demonstrate flexible and efficient time management and ability to prioritize workload.
  3. As a mandated reporter, assure all allegations of abuse and neglect are reported as required.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  1. Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communication, and/or Public Relations preferred.
  2. Minimum of 3 years of work experience; including knowledge of and background in marketing, communications, and public relations.
  3. Experience using Microsoft Office systems.
  4. Ability to interact with people with ease; write and edit effectively; communicate the written and spoken word effectively and with tact.
  5. Strong organizational skills; well disciplined; and able to meet deadlines.
  6. To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and have the flexibility to work evenings and weekends, as necessary.
