Job Title: Clinical Social Worker

Department: Behavioral Health Services

Schedule: 1st Shift; 40 Hours Per Week

Position Status: Full-Time FLSA

Status: Exempt - salaried

Supervisor: Director of Clinical Services

Supervisory Responsibilities: Yes

Position Objective: The Clinical Social Worker is responsible for providing assessment, treatment planning, therapy, and other mental health services to people who are supported in EP!C's Behavioral Health Clinic (BHC). The Clinical Social Worker will support the Director of Behavioral Health Services in clinical programming and is responsible for maintaining compliance with Illinois' Department of Healthcare and Family Service Rule 140, DHS, CQL and other government regulations regarding programs associated with MRO billing.

Assistance to Director of Behavioral Health Services

1. As directed, produce accreditation expectations and other required standards.

2. Meet with Director of Behavioral Health Services as requested to communicate progress and needs related to the treatment plan implementations.

3. Assist in revision of BHC policies and procedures.

4. Compile data as requested.


Program /Department Development, and Coordination

1. Perform clinical assessments and develop client-centered treatment plans.

2. Provide individual and group therapy counseling to supported individuals.

3. Provide training to agency staff to support the implementation of treatment plans.

4. Implement treatment plans as written; review and modify those treatment plans as necessary.

5. Ensure billable services are documented and submitted in accordance with applicable rules.

6. Complete case notes and other required documentation in compliance with regulations and agency policy.

7. Responsible for maintaining compliance with Illinois' Department of Healthcare and Family Service Rule 140, DHS, CQL and other government regulations regarding programs associated with MRO billing.

8. Maintain compliance with CLAS standards.

9. Arrive to work, meeting and all work-related functions on time. Report any absence, tardiness, or schedule change to supervisor as soon as possible.


Personal and Professional Development:

1. Participate in meetings, committees, conferences, seminars, and in-service training sessions as requested.

2. Professional development and training opportunities, including weekly supervision hours towards licensure by LCSW if needed.

3. Flexible work hours.


Marginal Responsibilities

1. Perform other duties as assigned.

2. As a mandated reporter ensures all allegations, abuse, and neglect are reported as required.


Education/Experience Requirements

1. Qualified applicants are required to have a minimum of a master's degree in social work, counseling, psychology or related field, and has:

a. Successfully completed a practicum or internship that included a minimum of 1,000 hours of supervised direct service in a mental health setting; or

b. who has one year of documented clinical experience under the supervision of a QMHP.

c. Successfully completed 1000 hours of practicum and/or internship under clinical and educational supervision; or

d. One year of documented clinical experiences under the supervision of a QMHP

2. Illinois LCSW preferred, but not required

3. Medicaid knowledge preferred

4. Desire and ability to work under supervision and cooperatively with a treatment team

5. 1 + years' experience in the social service field and at least 1 year in a mental health program preferred

6. 1+ years' experience with persons with developmental disabilities preferred

7. Minimum of 1 year supervisory/managerial experience preferred

8. Valid Driver's License and proof of automobile insurance
