Supervisory Responsibilities:

No

Position Objective: Responsible for participant personal banking transactions. Responsible for reviewing participants' personal checking accounts. Prepare HUD approved invoices for payment; process and distribute disbursement checks. Will follow Rule 50, Dept. of Human Services Rule 115, Rule 116, Rule 119, Rule 120, and other relevant regulatory guidelines.

  2. Manage all responsibilities based on the agency mission, using individual choice and all appropriate policies, procedures, and regulations.
  3. To conduct oneself in a manner that reflects the highest standards of professional courtesy and ethical practices to people served, staff, guardians, families, and all outside contacts.

Program /Department Development, and Coordination

  1. Classify vender invoices and prepare for data entry for HUD corporations.
  2. Process HUD disbursement checks through Agency accounting system and distribute according to policy.
  3. Maintain resident cash, checking and petty cash accounts according to established Agency policies and procedures.
  4. Complete transactions of resident personal funds as properly authorized and assure proper documentation of all receipts.
  5. Account for resident's individual transactions in Agency software.
  6. Review residents' personal checking accounts monthly where applicable.
  7. Balance all Petty Cash boxes weekly.

Marginal Responsibilities

  1. Perform other duties as assigned.
  2. As a mandated reporter ensures all allegations, abuse, and neglect are reported as required.

Education/Experience Requirements

  1. High school education plus one entry level college accounting course preferred.
  2. Valid Driver's License or State ID.
  3. Bookkeeping experience preferred.

  4. Operates general office equipment, including multi-line phone, fax machine, printer, copier, and personal computer.
  5. Ability to lift 50 lbs.
