Supervisory Responsibilities:

Position Objective: Responsible for monitoring billing and consumer bookkeeping procedures of Accounting Specialists, and maintaining the GL. Perform month end reconciling procedures and prepare financial statements for review. Serve as primary contact for agency accounting software and DHS billing systems. Will follow Rule 50, Dept. of Human Services Rule 115, Rule 116, Rule 119, Rule 120, and other relevant regulatory guidelines.

  3. To conduct oneself in a manner that reflects the highest standards of professional courtesy and ethical practices to people served, staff, guardians, families, and all outside contacts.

Program /Department Development, and Coordination

  1. Serve as primary contact for accounting and billing software.
  2. Prepare and post journal entries to GL including P/R import and allocations.
  3. Prepare monthly financial statements.
  4. Monitor billing and assure capture of all services. Approve and enter A/R adjustments. Perform monthly reconciliations including identification of all state revenue. Monitor collectability of receivables and report to CFO quarterly.
  5. Monitor consumer bookkeeping procedures of Accounting Specialists.
  6. Serve as a back up to the Payroll and Benefits coordinator.
  7. Prepare schedules for annual audit.
  8. Reconcile EP!C operating bank account.
  9. Pay eligible vendors with credit card.
  10. Serve as back up to Controller.

Marginal Responsibilities

  1. Perform other duties as assigned.
  2. As a mandated reporter ensures all allegations, abuse, and neglect are reported as required.

Education/Experience Requirements

  1. Minimum of Associates Degree in Accounting with 1 – 2 years of accounting experience required.
  2. Valid Driver's License or State ID.
