Supervisory Responsibilities:

Position Objective: Responsible for preparing, classifying and data entry to Agency software of bank deposits. Responsible for participant personal banking transactions. Responsible for reviewing participants' personal checking accounts where applicable. Will follow Rule 50, Dept. of Human Services Rule 115, Rule 116, Rule 119, Rule 120, and other relevant regulatory guidelines.

  2. Manage all responsibilities based on the agency mission, using individual choice and all appropriate policies, procedures, and regulations.
  3. To conduct oneself in a manner that reflects the highest standards of professional courtesy and ethical practices to people served, staff, guardians, families, and all outside contacts.

Program/Department Development and Coordination; Fiscal Management

  1. Determine classifications of monies received, enter cash receipts data into Agency software and prepare deposits daily.
  2. Maintain resident cash, checking and petty cash accounts according to established Agency policies and procedures.
  3. Complete transactions of resident personal funds as properly authorized and assure proper documentation of all receipts.
  4. Account for residents' individual transactions in Agency software.
  5. Review residents' personal checking accounts monthly where applicable.
  6. Collect and report residents' incomes to Social Security.
  7. Reconcile HUD bank statements.
  8. Monitor participant's Link benefits eligibility.
  9. Backup annual redeterminations and monitor participants' Medicaid eligibility.
  10. Update resident information in the state software system (ROCS).
  11. Serve as backup to accounting staff during vacations and staff shortages.

Marginal Responsibilities

  1. Perform other duties as assigned.
  2. As a mandated reporter ensures all allegations, abuse, and neglect are reported as required.

Education/Experience Requirements

  1. High School Diploma plus one entry level college accounting course preferred.
  2. General office experience and excellent data entry skills are required.

  4. Operates general office equipment, including multi-line phone, fax machine, printer, copier, and personal computer.
  5. Ability to lift 50 lbs.
